Ghana mourns the tragic loss of  Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, who perished in a military helicopter crash near Adansi-Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region. The accident claimed eight lives, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and has plunged the nation into deep sorrow. President John Mahama has declared three days of national mourning, with flags flying at half-mast in honor of the fallen leaders.
