KNUST and its Alumni Association proudly celebrate Nana Ansah Sasraku III, a distinguished alumnus whose leadership bridges tradition, public service, and community development.
Obtaining his BA (Hons) in Social Sciences, Nana Ansah Sasraku III graduated from the Class of 1997 from KNUST, and he was in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Hall.
Traditional Leadership: As Mamfehene (Chief of Mamfe) and Kyidomhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, Nana Ansah Sasraku III exemplifies the power of cultural stewardship. He advocates for the rule of law in local governance and actively promotes youth empowerment. Through annual mentorship programs run in collaboration with the Spintex Chapter of the KNUST Alumni Association and other partners, he inspires pupils across Mamfe’s basic schools to pursue meaningful careers and contribute positively to society.
Professional Excellence: Nana exemplifies discipline, service-driven leadership built on integrity, collaboration, and accountability. His consistent ability to work transparently with teams, strengthen institutional systems, and drive operational improvements has contributed to sustained efficiency and growth across the organizations whose boards he has chaired previously, including Postal and courier services Regulatory Commission, Metro Mass Transit Ltd, Ghana Re-Insurance, and SSNIT, where he currently serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees
Alumni Engagement: Nana’s dedication to the KNUST alumni community is both generous and consistent. He has donated land to the association, supported fundraising efforts for the University, and remains an active participant in alumni activities. His contributions reflect a deep-rooted commitment to the institution that shaped his academic journey.
